A tad geeky ... but this video representation of sorting algorithms is fascinating. I remember in 10th grade implementing a bubble sort in Basic on a Digital PDP11-40 ...and feeling a real sense of accomplishment to be able to deal with these abstractions. Maybe even a better link than the video is this link ( sorting-algorithms/ ) showing a visualization of a bunch of sorting algorithims on various types of data sets.
