A team of local and federal investigators has made arrests in connection to a string of armed robberies at Family Dollar and Dollar General stores in and around Detroit. The robberies started in mid-November, and continued until just a couple days ago. That is when the Dollar General on Wyoming in Dearborn was robbed. “It could happen to anyone, and I could be next,” said Ali Taleb, who works at King Dry Cleaners, a business across the street from the Dollar General. He felt relief at the news that there had been arrests. Investigators tell Seven Action News the two people in custody are suspects in at least five armed robberies, possibly more. There is still one person they are looking for, but they are following leads. Seven Action News showed surveillance pictures of the suspects. Investigators say the tips that followed helped them make arrests. The suspects are expected to face charges in Federal Court this week.! (Y)
