A technology that has been developed by the Food Department of the Government of Chattisgarh, COREPDS offers people the right to choose the fair price shops of their liking by using a Smart Ration Card. Fair price shops often exploit consumers as they can only shop at a designated shop. The beneficiaries of COREPDS have the freedom to take their ration from any fair price shop by simply authenticating themselves by any one of the multiple instruments allowed which include the Smart Ration Card issued by the Food Department, the Rastruya Swastha Beema Yojna Card issued by the Health Department or even a registered mobile number using a One Time Password. This project has not made the lives of people convenient but also helped reduce exploitation and create healthy competition to better the quality of service among the shops. #StateSpeak
