A thing Ive noticed about myself: Im that improviser who, after spending a few hours with other improvisers, gets to a point where she desperately wants to talk about non-improv-related things. Knowing more about who you are outside of our art-form helps me to understand and react to the choices you make on stage. While the styles and things youve done on stage are awesome and, yes, I love hearing about them, sometimes I want to know what your favorite TV series was as a kid, and how not getting that Skip-It for Christmas was really a blessing in disguise. The same goes for dancers and actors. I like knowing that theres a real, complex person behind that character on stage. So, yes. Lets nerd-out about our artform for a while... but lets not force ourselves to stay on topic too badly. Im sure itll all come back around toward the end, anyway.
