A..this freaking suck...after working there for 14 months and finding out on my last day of work on my exit interview at Belk that I had some benefits that I could have used such as paid vacation, paid personal time off, paid sick time off and all that. I didnt even know that I qualified for those since they changed my positions from seasonal to part-time, HR didnt inform me of my benefits.Yesterday was my last day of work at Belk....good bye employee discount, double discount and great sales. It feels so weird to wake up this morning not having to rush to work and knowing that I dont work at Belk anymore. Very thankful and blessed for the opportunity to work there, Ms. Mitzi..my main supervisor, and the other managers and supervisors, my co-workers who had a lot of patience with me and my questions especially when I keep forgetting stuff...all the great customers Ive met that recognizes me and greets me with a smile and hi/hello even when they see me somewhere else, the new experiences and skills I have learned to help me grow. If only their work hours would work with mine I would have loved to stay there and like Mr. Jackson (the manager who decides who to let go and stays, he was the one who decided my fate last time when I started out as a seasonal worker and he kept me for part-time), just let him know if anything changes and he will be happy to have me back. It was nice to hear from a lot of them saying that they will miss me as a co-worker and that they wish I can stay, they said visiting them as a customer doesnt really count, lol!!!
