A thought. If, indeed, North Korea has used its elite cyber warfare forces to disrupt The Interviews release, this was a foolish misstep on their part. They have deployed, and therefore revealed, a major strategic asset not in their own defense, not to attack a rival nation, but in the service of a petty, ego-driven protest against a film studio. Theyve put the world on alert in order to prevent their dictator being mocked. Instead of harming world finance or communication, instead of interfering with public safety or military readiness, as apparently they might have done, theyve prevented a film from being released. Perhaps we should be glad they squandered the surprise of such capability on such a trivial thing?
