A thought To Ponder Now that I have lived long enough to look back at the past, and the numerous times I have believed and acted on false fads, I lament seeing so many still being caught in ego web. Sadly, it isnt because the evidence to discover truth is hidden; it is because we are either afraid of finding it, and/or we dont have the courage to admit and proclaim it. The ego is very powerful and influences much of what we want to believe, and is easily influenced by what we think will make us acceptable to our peer group. Stop and look at how ads are scripted, and listen to the talking heads, newscasts, etc. to see how much they want us to set aside reason, and accept their presentation of empty words. All of us are susceptible to propaganda, and we can readily identify the attempts to get us to buy a matching set of The Emperor New Clothes when we hear what is represented by todays thought. “This is what smart people believe” is the con man’s introduction to deception.
