A tide of sorrow is in all over the Jeev Aashraya today, as the little calf, which was brought Jeev Aashraya from Manak Nagar station is no more. All the limbs were totally damaged. There were no chances of recovery; it seemed that even any miracle itself would have not been saved him. At first, when we saw his condition we were in a great dilemma that “what should we do?” We were totally blank, every member of our team was mute, but rather than thinking we decided to act immediately. We brought the calf to the hospital and put all of our power, caliber and efforts to relieve him from his pain. We knew that our efforts will not relax him even 1 percent, but our hearts were still saying to do, we were still hoping if he could get a better life. On posting his photos on our page, many of people said that we should euthanasia him; the only option to relieve him from his pain was to kill him only. Perhaps they were right, but unfortunately, our work did not allow us to do so. Our hands are there to give a love, we teach compassion, and we do conservation, so how could we do so? The condition was so inferior. Finally, we all decided to make best of efforts to relieve him. Truly, this was a case in which all of us were not able to utter a word, as we were totally mystified, that how should we handle. As the ‘almighty’ is always there to help us in those conditions where we feel helpless, he called the cow and relieved him from his pain. We are so thankful and pleased that he did this, as only he has the right to take someone’s life, not the humans. This case has taught us a lesson that conditions might be worse sometimes; only thing is that we should try for the betterment and for tenderness. We pray for his better next life. Thank you god, for always being there to help us in our work! Jeev Aashraya “CONERVING WITH COMPASSION”
