A tiring but wonderful day, even with the rather harrowing experience of a flat tire on a very busy I95 on the way home (and the even more harrowing experience of try to talk John out of trying to change said tire, but dont get me started). It was soooooo great to visit with dear friends from our California days, although two hours at the airport was just not enough time. Must also add many thanks to the unknown woman who stopped because she saw me walking at the side of the road trying to find a mile marker, and who gave the State Trooper our exact location. Thanks also to the NJ State trooper who stayed with us until roadside assistance arrived, and to the young man from the Sunoco Station who made such quick work of finishing what John had started. And special thanks to Nikki for running all the way over here after work to walk Cosmo! Despite some challenges, it was a day filled with kindness.
