A top level computer scientist from India is speaking at the University of Kiel on 25.06.2014. Professor Naveen Garg, Department of Computer Science, Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi & Co-Director Indo-Max-Planck Center for Computer Science, New Delhi, Indo-German Science Relations Abstract: The Indo-German Center for Computer Science is a collaborative research project between the Indian CS community and the Max-Planck-Institutes for Informatik and Software Systems and the University of Saarland. In this talk I will speak about the mission of IMPECS and about the activities we engage in to achieve this. I will also highlight some of the important research topics that researchers in IMPECS work on. Finally I will talk about my own research interest in Approximation algorithms.
