A total of 3,998 traffic offenders have been convicted in Zone RS5, Benin City, comprising of Edo, Delta and Anambra states by the mobile courts constituted by the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, in conjunction with the judiciary within the zone in its 2013 operational year in the three states. Zonal Commanding Officer of FRSC in the area, Mr Nseobong Akpabio, who made the disclosure in a chat with newsmen in Benin City, Edo State at the end of his three-day working visits to FRSC formations in Auchi and Igarra Unit Commands (Akoko Edo), said the judiciary in Edo, Delta and Anambra states charged 4,263 traffic offenders last year to mobile courts along the strategic corridors of Benin – Ore highway; Benin – Asaba and Benin – Warri among other routes where the corps carried out mobile court exercise including Asaba- Onitsha, Onitsha- Owerri, Awka- Enugu and Asaba – Benin highways.
