A total ruckus this morning and through most of the night. Daisy & - TopicsExpress

A total ruckus this morning and through most of the night. Daisy & I received a visit from an Opossum. As most of you who have puppy fur babies you realize different barks your dog has. Earlier this morning, Daisys bark indicated urgent danger outside. I arose from what I believe was a peaceful, beautiful dream only to find my dog in deep distress. So, even though the clock reflected I should roll over and allow her to quiet down- Daisy only got worse. I brought her outside and there it was. A breathtaking gray and white opossum at first perched on the fence post. I walked with Daisy toward it so I could take a look and it didnt move an inch. When we got closer it began to growl! Still not moving. Daisy went out of her mind barking, the same bark she uses to indicate an intruder. After I realized we were not in harms way I placed Daisy back in her crate and it took a good 30 minutes for her protest. I finally threw a sheet over her crate and she slept for about an hour. As many of you know I turn in early which theres a reason - things like this tend to happen. The creature was beautiful as I approached it and it did not growl at me. I wish I could have taken a photo as it was breathtaking. So here we are at 4:30 am awaiting the sunrise of a new day.
