A tragic loss, today; losing a man whose lifes work was making us smile to suspected suicide. I think the best way we can honour Robin Williams & the grief his family are suffering right now is not only to remember & revisit his incredible body of work -- let his performances make us smile, laugh, cry, feel & think; but also to take a mental snapshot of this day, with its sharpness of focus on the seriousness of mental illness. Lets keep that snapshot, & bring it out & look at it next time we feel like telling someone to harden up or cheer up, or dismissing someone as lazy, a downer, attention-seeking or a pain in the arse rather than recognising & acknowledging the signs of depression. Seize the day, boys; make your lives extraordinary.
