A tree of arms for branches and fingers for leaves make up the central image of this Poster From The Past for today. There is also a book of matches with lettering on it. The matches inside it are made up of fingers too. Some of the lettering drips from the tree in a form similar to Spanish Moss. The Ground beneath the tree is also made up of more fingers. It was 46 years ago on this day back in 1968, that The Chambers Brothers, The Charlatans , Queen Lily Soap, began three nights of concerts at the Fillmore West, smack dab in the center of downtown San Francisco. The following three nights, Eric Burdon & The Animals, Blood, Sweat & Tears and The Gypsy Wizard Band, finished up the concerts advertised on this poster. Light show provided by Holy See Lights.
