A tribute to my beloved friend Alcides. He brought my husband & I to Guama, Cuba on April 30th to see the Bay of Pigs. We have been friends with Alcides since 2006 and to Varadero 9 times. My husband, our boys & I spent 4 days at Alcides home on the March break. The last words we told each other on April 30th were, The next time we meet will be in Canada. On May 14th, Alcides hired a driver to go to Havana to the Canadian Embassy to apply for a visitor visa to come and visit Marcel & I in Canada. On his way home from Havana, he was in a car accident and left this world. God bless you my dear friend! Attached is a video of Alcides and his son Francisco with a bike we brought for him last year.
