A two-day National Seminar on Unfamiliar Margins in the Social, organized by Department of Sociology, University of Hyderabad was inaugurated on 14th October 2014. Prof. K. Laxmi Narayan, Head, Department of Sociology gave the welcome address. The Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. E. Haribabu welcomed all the delegates and said that such kind of seminar will definitely bring change in the society. This seminar is sponsored by ICSSR, New Delhi and the Centre for Women Studies, UoH. The two-day seminar will bring together scholars working on unfamiliar silenced social issues and new emerging questions of citizenship, body and resistance in globalizing times in South Asia.
