A useful report. Reflects much of what I have been saying in my own work on radicalisation. The primary concern is not Islam but the social context that British Muslims find themselves in. They create the drivers while organisations like IS simply feed off their angst and give these young people hope in an otherwise seemingly bleak future. Balanced academic, policymaking and civil society thinking and practice has been pushing the social dimension for decades. Mindless media and pointless politicians have merely milked the sensationalism and fear as a means of commercialism and authoritarianism.
