A very dear friend of Eugene and I was admitted to hospital Sunday with congestive heart failure, the dr ask the family if they wanted him to be resuscitated , the family said yes, the Dr was surprised because of the age of the patient, we spent the biggest part of Sunday and Monday watching him lay in bed with tubes every where and heavily sedated, I called hospital Tuesday morning at 8am to get update , I was told that it would be Wednesday before they started to wean him off meds and see if he could breathe on his own, I decided to go to hospital to visit him about two hours later, to my surprise when I turned the corner there lay an 89 yr old man staring at me and with tubes still in ,Smiled at me, I was so surprised, I ask the nurse what was going on and she she he was making great improvements, by 11am the tubes were out and we were laughing and talking , he said he had heard me talking about cheesecake (which was Monday while he was under sedation) and he wanted some. I spent the biggest part of Tuesday feeding him ice chips and talking. Tell me God how big is your God?? Oh and by the way, the ingredients for cheesecake is on my grocery list.
