[ A very good study on judging people. Condoning sin is never acceptable, no matter how minor. And we are to bring out sin, as long as we have repented and not doing the sin. 2 John 1 KJV CE 7For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. 9Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. And as watchmen. these troopers are to warn people of the stumbling blocks which exist in this world. Ezekiel 33 KJV CE 1Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: 3If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; 4Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. 5He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. 6But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchmans hand. 7So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. 8When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. 9Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. In this study it says, Clearly, the context is that Jesus is saying that if you yourself have a large sin that you do not have the right to hypocritically judge the person with the smaller sin. (by comparison) i know that is unpopular to say or write. And i know that sin is sin. if you break one commandment, you break them all. No sin will enter the fullness of the Kingdom. However if it is very clear that what Jesus is saying is for example, that if you are sleeping around with 3 different women, then you have no right to judge the person who is living with one woman outside of marriage since you yourself are sleeping with 3 women. Another example would be if you are stealing televisions out of peoples houses, then you have no right to judge someone for cursing. If you get drunk every night of the week, you have no right to judge someone who only gets drunk once a year. No sin is being condoned here. But the context is hypocritical judgment. Jesus does not say that you should not judge at all, but rather that you are to be sure to have your own life clean first before you try to help the other person. Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam (larger peice of wood) out of thine own eye and THEN shalt thous see clearly to cast out the mote (smaller piece of wood) out of thy brothers eye. He doesnt say to NEVER help get the wood out of your brothers eye. That would be wrong to see someone in need and not help them. But we cant help them if we ourselves are in a worst situation. With so much coverups, manipulations, deceits triggered by anger and hate to destroy, pride and lusts, vanity and idolatries. envy and greed to worldly gains inside this world, deception is like wildfire to make people stumble into traps by these snares. Some sins are made so apparent, we sometimes say why cant they see this ? Ephesians 5 KJV CE 3But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; 4Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. 5For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7Be not ye therefore partakers with them. John 9 KJV CE 1And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. 2And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. 4I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. 5As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 6When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 7And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing. 8The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged? 9Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he. 10Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened? 11He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight. 12Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not. Matthew 7 KJV CE 15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. By reading the Word of GOD, we learn what is acceptable and what is not. One knows when to shout Wolf in the woods . Worshipping other gods is not acceptable . We dont damn anyone to hell. Chemo is a danger. Worship of other gods and goddesses is a danger, going against the 10 commandments is a danger to all. Like the egg lady she saw her wrongness, even though it was 3 eggs. And GOD blessed her for seeing her wrongness. She judged herself from getting caught with her hand in the cookie jar. An example of prejudging in this study. John 7:24 KJV CE Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. John 3 KJV CE 19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. We are also not to judge without proper information. Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment” (John 7:24) Perfect example of this is one time when i was in a dollar general store. a young man came in the store without a shirt, (innocent enough) but a woman in the store became enraged and judged him without knowing the situation. She left and he came to the counter to buy a shirt. He did not have a shirt with him and was there for the purpose of buying a shirt. she had unwisely judged him without knowledge of his situation. We are also not to gossip and slander people and publish their sins to the whole neighborhood, (unless they are a danger to the neighborhood. IF there is a wolf, you should yell WOLF!). James 4:11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother speaketh evil of the law... The context in this verse is slander. That is different from trying to help your brother overcome their sins. It is also different from intervention by the church or family or friends. The context is talking about people behind their backs. ] Thou Shalt Not Judge? License to turn the blind eye to sin? isawthelightministries/judgenot.html
