A very happy adoption recently took place for two very special Safe Haven Kitties! Sweetie Boy and Bashful once lived in a very harsh environment in Kittery behind a closed garage. They were noticed by animal loving people and a team of them began to provide bedding and water and food to them. This colony of cats lived in little sheds with wet blankets and frozen water and one of them was killed on the road. There were also kittens in the colony. Life was terrible for these poor feral cats!. Safe Haven stepped in and rescued the entire colony and they were put in foster homes and into our adoption center for socializing. Sweetie Boy and Bashful lived with our other kitties in the upstairs playroom where they roamed freely. They have been loved by us for several years and were adopted once but were so afraid in their new home and were returned after a brief time there. But just recently a lovely woman came in and met them and she adopted both and they are now living in a home with a person who is working with them to help them feel confident and happy. Change is always scary for cats and fearful cats have a harder time with change than confident kitties so its special people who adopt fearful cats and we sure are thankful to you Tina for giving our beloved Sweetie Boy and Bashful a happy life with you.
