A very interesting interview with architect and mathematician Christopher Alexander The real problem is that we wont be OK, in terms of building or in terms of nature or anything else, until we learn how to *make* nature. What does this mean? It doesnt mean biogenesis in the lab, or terraforming. Nor does it necessarily mean building with sustainable materials. It means creating material objects that, like natural objects, are endlessly differentiating and adapting, are in complex intimate relationship with everything around them.
