A very interesting perspective on being libertarian. It incorporates a number of surprising themes which those who believe differently do not realize, such as compassion, freedom, completely open borders, pacifism, etc. This is not being anti-government which is disparaging and inaccurate, but rather pro-people: that community and the individual are not and should not be at odds with each other, but enhance each other. Those who take either one of these extreme positions: pure individualism (e.g. Randian Objectivism) or pure community (the individual must subsume themselves to the community), are both off-base.
