A very long statement from Ali A. Rizvi on why reforms within muslim communities are needed and why almost no one is a moderate muslim anymore nowadays. A moderate Muslim states that ISIS is wrong, they arent true Muslims, and Islam is a religion of peace. This sort of fencing isnt helpful, because as someone said: If islamist terrorists arent real muslims then the inquisition wasnt catholic ;) The word moderate has lost its credibility. Fareed Zakaria has referred to Middle Eastern moderates as a fantasy. Even apologists like Nathan Lean are pointing out that the use of this word isnt helping anyone. Islam needs reformers, not moderates.
