A very proud and emotional day in our household today as my three year old starts school FULL TIME ! Though I have to admit to shedding a tear in the sanctitude of the car after dropping her off, seeing her run in without a seconds hesitation proved what I knew all along..that she was sooooo ready for this. That is what we have fought so hard and so long for, that children like her who are ready can take their first steps into education. Today was a very proud day, because all the hard work put in by you all meant my daughter is getting what she deserves and what all those before her were entitled to..a full time nursery place! However proud a day for me though, we cannot afford to rest on our laurels as this right is not yet secured for those that come after her because once again RCTCBC insist on putting finances before the rights and needs of those they are supposed to serve and protect! Non statutory does not mean non essential and we have to continue to work hard to ensure that ALL children in RCT get what they are entitled to, a full time nursery education! Please if you havent already, spare five minutes of your day to fill out a consultation form and have your say! Please help to protect the education of many many children as once its gone, it will never come back! These children need us to speak for them...please dont let them down!!!!
