A very rare 4.2M earthquake (revised to 3.9 magnitude by USGS) has struck Central / West Alabama. The area appears to be a possible old strip mining location. The tree planting plots are typical of a post mining or deforestation location. This movement comes on the heels of heavy activity on the West coast of the United States, as well as multiple earthquakes along the edge of the craton. Several events at fracking oprations, including one death at an exploded well in Weld County Colorado near Greeley at the fracking operations located West of I-25.
