In the Book of Revelation, John called him an old serpent who deceives the whole world (Rev. 12:9). We have a very real enemy, and he first showed up in the Garden of Eden in the form of a serpent. The good news is that you have the power to defeat him through Jesus Christ! Read the second half of John 10:10 again — “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” Jesus came so that we may have life . . . abundant life.
