A very serious hello to you on this dark Thursday morning. Dark to match my mood in….. ONE OF OUR LOVELY PUMPKINS WERE ‘LIBERATED’ FROM THE CAFÉ’S WINDOW SILL YESTERDAY!!! How rude. I bought three of them last week to celebrate Autumn coming, spent time and money buying them and tah dah…. some bloody sod has taken one of them. I wanted to say a word that rhymes with cat and rat but has four letters instead of the word ‘sod’ but I don’t think I should write that down but believe me, I’m saying it in my head right now. Moving on…. specials today will include our roasted cauliflower mature cheddar cheese and Guinness rarebit, served on our toasted granary bread, topped with sliced apple and served with a lovely mixed salad, our toasted seeds, our scrumptious dressing and some of our chutney. Very autumnal that cauliflower stuff… I love Autumn… well, I used to (ggrrrrrr). Cakes will include our zucchini apple orange and walnut cake with vanilla frosting, flourless chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and more. Have a lovely day. Come in. Have a bowl of soup, have some of our bread, have a cake, have a coffee, have a pumpkin (why not, we have 2 more… ).
