A very special Lewes artifact is coming up for auction at Freemans in Philadelphia in November. A beautiful 1823 sampler by Ann Westley which was made at Mrs. Bowers school would make a tremendous addition to our collections but WE NEED YOUR HELP! The society has a modest budget line for the purchase of artifacts for the collection and we anticipate that this piece, if we were successful, would significantly tap our resources.
