A very strong #jetstream will bring some rather stormy conditions Friday and Saturday of this week. As shown on the video, a 230mph #jetstream is expected. We are keeping a close eye on two areas of low pressure in particular that will bring some very stormy conditions with gusts perhaps reaching 90-95mph across parts of Scotland and the Northern Isles. With such a strong #jetstream we may see rapid intensification with either low pressure system. The northern half of the country is expected to see some very strong winds at times. The video highlights the strength of the #jetstream on our high-resolution models, included are wind gust charts covering Friday-Sunday. See if your area is likely to see strong winds, you will find the key for the colours/wind strength to the right hand-side of the charts, all charts are measured in mph. Stormy is the word! Lewis
