A very varied program for Fudge this weekend. Saturday was spent supervising the main minion as he was clearing the final few jobs on the workbench in between passenger workings. Fudge accompanied the guards on the passenger service hauled by 0-4-0 Hunslet Merlin and also was the secondman on the tram unit EMU3. The afternoon involved overseeing the re-build of Eric Charlton (a Y6/J70 hybrid tram) following a previous motor failure, this also involved fitting a borrowed 4QD due to the installed one failing to select reverse. Sunday started with a large Pigs Ear (dog treat) to be disposed of and adoration to be had from admirers and staff. The rest of the day was spent watching the preparation works taking place, to be ready for the major re-wheeling program of all the Tram Unit (EMU1 & EMU2) bogies; also there were secondman duties on EMU3 to be carried out.
