A very, very good night ended with mild disappointment. Alex showed more improvement this week. 8 karts tonight. Alex started on the pole tonight and finished 4th. Last week he was about 8 seconds off the leader and cut that to 4 this week. He ran a much better line and kept his foot in the throttle way more tonight. He started 4th for the feature which meant he had to start on the outside, something he is not used to doing. He was running a good 5th when a caution for a spin ahead of him put him 3rd. With a few laps to go he got a very bad restart and went too high, allowing all but the last car to get under and by him. He finished 7th of 8 and was awarded 6th due to a kart being 0.5 lbs under weight. Very happy boy with growing confidence. Go Pro was in the wrong mode. Not much video but a lot of still photos.
