A virtuous wife or vile woman? Two days ago, I wrote something on A husband or house boss but today I want to talk briefly by Gods grace about our wonderful women especially, the virtuous wives. Ab initio, God used to describe women in the Bible as having beautiful and fair countenances and even used romantic words to illustrate some relationships. This will send romantic waves through your medulla oblongata and pass across your thought faculty that may excite your electron of desire from ground state of stagnancy to excited state of marriage. Nevertheless, wait! The Bible described vile woman in Proverbs 11:22 As a jewel of gold in a swines snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion .....Fair woman with beautiful figure but has since lost all her values. Now, a virtuous wife was described in Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies......Virtuous wife? She is priceless, having a godly character, lovely to be with and worthy of praise. A virtuous wife submits to her husband (irrespective of the law or tradition of the land) but a vile woman must always have her ways. A virtuous wife supports and stays with her husband while a vile woman spends her resources on frivolities and dishonours her husband. A virtuous wife shows and lives by example to her children while a vile woman leaves the care of her kids to maid, relatives or outsiders. A virtuous wife spends time in prayers for her household while a vile woman worries about the unknown and cares less to know the state of her family. A virtuous woman seeks to build her home and does household chores affectionately while a vile woman is lazy, and lacks home management skills. Finally, the Bible says in Proverbs 12:4 A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones. Be a virtuous wife that will be a crown of praise to your husband otherwise you can choose to add sorrow and be rottenness in his bones and thorn to your kids. The result will be shame. God of mercy will help and grant you the courage, wisdom and grace to build your home. Women are wonderful but virtuous wives/mothers are indeed blessed and priceless. Have a lovely day!
