A visual explosion is about the best way to describe the beauty of Mother Nature. Jennifer Tepley has posted a number of pictures showing a three week road trip we took through the west. Briefly, we went through 8 National Parks (7 of which we hiked) (3 of which we tented), (Glacier, Yellow Stone, Teton, Zion, Bryce, Capital Reef, Arches, and Canyon Land). We went through 6 National Forests, Flathead, Caribou, Bridger, Cache, Dixie, and Black Hills. We went through and hiked Kodacrome State Park in Cannonville, Ut. We stopped by to see Crazy Horse, and our Mt. Rushmore National monument. Traveling Hwy 89, (from Jackson, Wy to Salt Lake City, Ut.), Hwy 12 from Tropic, Ut. to Torrey, Ut.) and Hwy 24 (from Torrey, Ut almost to Inter 70) are three of the most beautiful drives one will ever have. By the way, Hwy 12 is the 2nd most beautiful in the US. If there are any of you that are planning this type of trip, I would be happy to give some advice on lodging and or tenting areas. We feel this was a trip of a lifetime. Just a bit over 5,000 miles and absolutely worth it.
