A volunteer writes: Looking for a running partner? Tysons former owner tells us that they ran together for 2 miles 5x a week - thats pretty impressive! Tyson is a stunning brindle boy, gorgeously taken care of but brought into our care as his owner is moving where he is not welcome. Tyson has lived with his former owner all his life and is doing a great job of adjusting to his care with us. He was so calm in his kennel, easily leashed and calmly walked out the door with me. So calm in fact that staff commented on how wonderful his manners are! Although we are told that he is used to walking without a leash, his leash manners are lovely, and although he pulls from time to time its no problem. Were told that he gets along with kids, all people, lived with other dogs, is housebroken, crate trained, knows sit and lie down. He showed off his housetraining, going potty as soon as we were outside, and showed me his sit with a promise of a treat. He takes treats gently, and then gives me a kiss! A good trade from my point of view! Welcoming other dogs to our pen with a friendly wag of his tail, Tyson was also happy chasing a tennis ball, giving me a play growl and a bark if I didnt throw it fast enough. Tyson is playful and affectionate, looking for an active home in which exercise and love are the daily priorities. His priority after that, is a lifetime of unconditional love.
