A volunteer writes: One look at sweet, neglected Coraline and Im about ready to cry, shes emaciated almost beyond belief and the angry red tumor on her tiny butt is near as wide as her waist. This loving middle-aged girl has clearly not been cared for in quite some time and yet...her face is still that of a beauty and her soft brown eyes sparkle when she spots a roast beef treat in my hand. Despite her skeletal frame Coraline has the hearty appetite of a puppy and shes eager to get outside too, negotiating the stairs with relative ease, taking care of her business (yes, she still can) and trotting along with a happy wagging tail. Other dogs are mostly ignored as we pass and shes the easiest of walkers, its all no fuss, no muss with this well-behaved little lady. Coraline is a survivor, a gentle soul who has endured countless months of pain and heartache but come out the other side with her spirit undaunted and her quiet, affectionate nature intact. Behind all the awful physical issues, Coraline has the most beautiful soul and shes searching for her soul mate. Will you be the one to give her story the happy ending she deserves?
