A volunteer wrote : Champ is very friendly and sociable, welcoming other people coming to say hello. He loves to sit on the bench next or behind me and chew on his ball. Petting is complimentary of course and very much appreciated by Champ who is quite an affectionate dog. Needless to say that Champ is my champion. Someone else here at the care center saw that first and gave him that name. Champ was found as a stray but was cared for quite outstandingly until his abandonment.Champ is a gorgeous and attractive young man, clad in a dark chocolate well groomed coat, shining golden reflections in the daylight. He looks like a sculpture, perfectly chisseled. His eyes express so many emotions, excited, happy, sweet. He is such a great dog to spend time with...Just give him a chance and you will see what I am talking about. Champ is leashed easily, pulls slightly and eliminates in one stop as we leave the building. He is at his best free in the yard.
