A warm welcome to you all. I was diagnosed with Aspergers syndrome 3 years ago, I am also the proud father of two boys on the spectrum. My hope in starting this page is to promote Autism and Aspergers awareness in a positive and friendly manner. I endeavor to break down many of the harmful myths that cause so much harm and distress to those on the spectrum. I am not an expert, and this may be a good thing as I have a wealth of experience, both good and bad and would like the opportunity to share these experiences with fellow autistic people, parents, and professionals. I hope that together we can fight prejudice, bullying and explore all the wonderful, often hidden qualities that autistic people have. The title of my page refers to blue as the color of autism and I only say Aspergers- a lighter shade of blue in reference to it being on the other end of the spectrum. However I believe that Aspergers and Autism should never be separated as single units and should be explored and understood as one entity, in that they are linked, and similar in many aspects.
