A warning: AVOID Spirit Airlines. A few reasons: Exorbitant fees for carryon bags - yes, anything bigger than a Purse or small backpack Exorbitant fees for first suitcase, and a 40 lb limit on it Even bigger fees for more suitcases Surly, screw you staff They charge for a soda or water Unless you pay up charge, you will not likely get a seat with your travel mate and will end up in the middle seat Long waits for baggage If they cancel, they dont rebook you on another airline (they have NO reciprocity with other airlines) or pay for your food/hotel - if you buy a ticket you agree to this Delays and more delays - and no announcements to let you know whats up - and wow be the person who asks They cram extra rows into planes -- how? Seats dont recline If you dont check in at least 45 minutes before flight, they cancel your reservation Crappy website that doesnt work consistently 7 times more complaints to the FAA than the next airline on the list Their President says, who cares? We are in business only to make money Vote with your feet, folks. Put this cattle car with wings out of business. Spirit makes Southwest feel like youre on first class on the QE2!! I will never fly them again....
