A water main replacement project is underway along Farmdale Road, Main Street and Water Street in Barboursville. The approximately $230,000 project will replace a 900-foot section of a 16-inch transmission main as well as add a new fire hydrant. The new main will be installed in an area with a more stable base and will improve water service reliability and reduce service disruptions for customers in the Barboursville, Ona and the Salt Rock areas. Drivers are asked to exercise caution when driving near construction zones and may experience intermittent traffic disruptions on Main Street at Farmdale Road and on Farmdale Road near West Road.
