A weak disturbance will move into east central Georgia Tuesday - TopicsExpress

A weak disturbance will move into east central Georgia Tuesday evening but will lose most of its punch before reaching our area. The result will be only a slight chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm until midnight Tuesday night. For the rest of the week, high humidity, warm temperatures and a jet stream situated a little farther south than usual will work together to provide a chance of showers and thunderstorms each day for the next few days. The best chance of rain will be Thursday when an upper level disturbance moves across our area enhancing the chance for rain and thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening. The weekend starts on a dry note Friday, then we can expect typical summertime weather Saturday and Sunday with highs in the lower 90s, lowers in the lower 70s and scattered thunderstorms each afternoon until sunset. Tuesday Night - Partly cloudy with a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Low 73. Wind W 5-10 mph. Wednesday - Partly to mostly sunny and hot with a 20% chance of rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon. High 93. Wind NW 4-8 mph. Wednesday Night - Partly cloudy with a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms until 9pm. Low 72. Wind NW 1-5 mph. Thursday - Partly to mostly cloudy and hot with a 40% chance of rain and thunderstorms after 11am. High 92. Wind NE 5-10 mph.
