A weak upper low tracking across Arizona this afternoon (see animated water vapor loop from mid afternoon here: is.gd/968oGQ )will pass through the Southern Plains tonight/tomorrow and generate showers and storms across South/Central Texas. Look for rain to be on the increase as we head through the night tonight and into the morning on Friday. There could be enough rain in some localized spots to produce isolated pockets of flash flooding. A storm or two could possibly produce damaging winds and/or hail...but severe weather is not a pressing concern with this event. The rain will wind down in San Antonio around midday, but it will remain cloudy/mostly cloudy into the weekend. The farther east you live, the more rain you will see, as a surface low will develop in deep South Texas in response to the upper low passing just to our north, and this surface low will track northeast along the coast. Rain amounts could be as little as a trace in the western counties, to well over 2 in the eastern counties. Lows on Friday in the low to mid 50s. Highs in the upper 50s to mid 60s. Saturday will see cloudy/mostly cloudy skies with lows in the 40s and highs in the upper 50s/low 60s. #TXwx #SATwx #AUSwx
