A wedding is a time for friends and family, a celebration of love and the union of two souls. Nothing brings people together like dancing and nothing brings people together at a wedding reception like the snowball dance. When they first hear of it, most people think the snowball dance involves mittens or gloves, maybe a jacket and lots of snow. The snowball isnt what you might think and is quite deceiving by name. The snowball dance is actually a dance designed to bring as many quests to the dance floor at one time and increase the level of excitement. Often times, many people refuse to find the dance floor. For whatever reason, some people just don’t like to dance. The snowball takes care of that by inviting everyone who was in the bridal party to the dance floor. Once they make it to the dance floor and a song is about to start, it is explained to them that they have only a few seconds to dance with their partners on the floor. Instead, over the course of the song, an announcement will be made to find a new partner and anyone who is on the dance floor must do just that. Once the song ends the dance floor should snowball into a bunch of excited and ready dancers who just want to keep moving through the night.
