A wee update for where we are at the moment for the Sea Front - TopicsExpress

A wee update for where we are at the moment for the Sea Front Project. We now have 9 members of the commity including myself. I had a very productive meeting with Audrey Baird an A&BC Funding Officer, she came up with really good ideas the main one being instead of setting up the group as a Community Group or Charity Group, to set it up as a Development Trust (DT). I have had some experience of setting up a Development Trust, and the Government have an office which helps you get set up. What do you think about this for the name of the DT; Helensburgh Sea Front Development Trust. I believe that a DT would also get the community behind us more as well. I asked Audrey about the £350,000 RCGF Government grant that Rothesay received for their Old pier, Audrey emailed Arlene Cullum from A&B C Social Enterprise Team (she helped get the £2.048m for the Hermitage Park Project), Arlene said it is David Rennie from her office that got the grant for Rothesay and he will contact Audrey with details of the grant. I have attached a link to the Wavebreaker, and another Dutch system that I found, and really like the idea off, let me know what you think off this update. Ive also attached documents that I found for Risk Assessments that were done for the car park re-development. wavebrake/faq.html nauticexpo/boat-manufacturer/breakwater-19232.html
