A wee wander up the lowther hills the day, was gony chance two munros, but weather north of glasgow was meant to be poor. An easy climb up a private access road, veering off to east mount lowther (which is actually west ????) then on to lowther hill with the golf ball radar station, up the path to the summit off green lowther hill. Great views to the clyde wind farm, tinto hill, ben lomond and on a clear day, goat fell. Found an old caterpiller type vehicle on the way back down, apparently used to pull skiers up back in the day. Just glad it was clear, last time was with Fiona Cooper and we got soaked and could see feck all!
