A wee word for Wednesday... Ah, the long, good Bank Holiday Weekend...... One of the best thoughts anyone can have is sitting on a Sunday night and thinking, “I dont have to go to work tomorrow.....its a bank holiday!.....What did you do with yours? Visit the local garden centre or go on a trip to Newcastle or Bangor? What did I do?? Well, for starters - switched off my melon to thoughts about work! Its not going anywhere, it will still be there when I get back, my desk wont have moved, my laptop wont have moved. OK, so my e-mails will have piled up but hey, so what? It needs to be left alone – I cant even remember what part of my work bothered me last week so whats the point in worrying about it now? Its the long, bank holiday weekend!! I had a nice lie-in and got up when I wanted – my time was my own! Went walking and was alone with my thoughts. One of my favourite pastimes – being on my own and enjoying my own company. I dont have to talk to anyone or go where someone else wants to go. I can go where I want to go. Sat out the back, as we say, and read enjoying the glorious weather and then got caught up on the final three episodes of Season Four of The Tudors where one notices that Jonathan Rhys Meyers Irish accent seems to come to the fore in his role of a now-ageing King Henry VIII! So hows that for some well spend activity on my long, good bank holiday weekend..... Mark 6:31 And He *said to them, Come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a while. (For there were many people coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.) Be good....till next time....
