A week after Kirsty Lang died, her husband sat on the beach listening to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. The Edgecumbe couple should have been celebrating their 12th wedding anniversary but instead Robert was alone, listening to his wife’s favourite sound and offering a prayer of thanks to the many kind-hearted people who had helped his family through its toughest time. Following Kirstys death from brain cancer at the age of 42, Robert has publicly thanked all those who helped his family emotionally and financially in the last year.
