A week ago from today, I attended the funeral of my good friend Max. Never would I have thought that I would be dancing in front of my best friends open casket for his family and friends. And yet, this is exactly how he would’ve wanted it! This dance is a tribute to the amazing bright Soul of Max, in celebration of his eternal life. This was one of the most moving dances for me, as I could feel the immensity of emotions from everyone and myself. I became an open vessel for spirit, calling upon his spirit, which I allowed to move through me driven by his Flame. I dance to inspire, as he inspired me. I dance to heal, to transmute, to remind other’s that we are ALIVE and that our bodies are beautiful and capable of miracles. Max was all about going on adventures, and sailing on Epic Voyages, which is why I chose to dance to this song (Sail by Awol Nation). Max is now on the most Epic Adventure’s he could ever dream of, and I use my dance as a means to further catapult his new journey into Infinity with love! I know it’s tough to deal with the fact that he is no longer physically with us, but let us never forget his spirit is now forever with us, guiding and fueling us on our paths! I love you Maxito! May we continue to Live, Thrive, and Follow our Bliss!
