A week ago today marked my one month anniversary with International Tutors (yay)! When I decided to join the company I had no idea what I’d signed up for - I came onboard during the busiest time of the year! Despite the overwhelming work load, hectic schedule and constant overdose of caffeine, International Tutors’ supportive team has made the transition very easy for me (with hilarious banter, and constant drink and food bribes). Moreover my students are such a bundle of joy to teach, and I’ve enjoyed my lessons with every single one of them. It is so rewarding to see how much my students progress over the course of the lessons. To my IB students – one more week to go and you will be liberated! Hang in there as you are almost done. For those who have finished – congratulations! You have officially made it through high school life . Enjoy your last summer before you head to university (or pursue other plans) – you have totally earned it. A Level – now that the exams are starting many students are conflicted between the idea of “get it over with” and “oh goodness just give me one more week to revise”. It is important to stay healthy and not fall sick during this critical period. Loads of vitamin C will give a strong boost to your immune system and help you through the exams. (I)GCSE – this is the most intense week of your exams - WHY are you here browsing through our blog instead of revising? Since you are already here I might as well as give you some pointers. There will be days that you feel like an absolute champion and there will be days you feel like the apocalypse just started when walking out of the exam hall. These things happen – your priority now is to concentrate on your next exam, and you can feel sorry for yourself or down about it AFTERWARDS. Also, don’t forget to take breaks now and then between your revision sessions to wind yourself down – it’s been proven by Oxford professors that this increases revision efficiency! - Keiann Yeung, Assistant Centre Director and Maths/Science Tutor
