A week from today, CONSTANTINE premieres, and it looks pretty damn good! Check the trailer out if you havent seen it, and for further reading... JOHN CONSTANTINE, HELLBLAZER: ORIGINAL SINS - In the late 80s, DC pushed the boundaries of horror in comics with this series thats the definitive solo book for Constantine. The show looks cool, but we know it wont be pushing boundaries like THIS did. Very creepy material. CONSTANTINE Vol. 1 - This is likely to be closest in tone to the TV show. Its the current series and is definitively set in the DC Universe, though definitely in the shadowy corners. JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK Vol. 1 - John Constantine doesnt like groups, but when hes got to work with other magic users, this is the place. Watch as our favorite British bastard rubs shoulders with the likes of Zatanna, Deadman, Shade, and Madame Xanadu. SAGA OF THE SWAMP THING Vol. 3 - You should really read every volume of this amazing horror series by comic book legend Alan Moore, but volume 3 is where he created John Constantine. Youll find Constantine was pretty much created whole cloth, so hes a great character right from the beginning.
