A week from tomorrow, my absolute favorite time of year begins: Indoor Season. This is the time of year where I get to enjoy the beautiful program that has brought two back-to-back championships AND promotions with the shows Breathe and Phobias, shows I still sing in my head to this date. Its a very intimate family; you know everyone, whether you want to or not. If any of you are musicians, please come out to the interest meeting after school next Wednesday, in the recital hall. There is room for all forms of percussionists, but weve also taken in horn/wind players, string players, and quite a few completely unfamiliar to music. We have a dedicated staff and strong veterans who will help you along the way to perfecting your instrument, whatever that may be. The time commitment is hefty, but it is an absolute pleasure to spend your time there. I recommend any seriously committed drummers or percussionists to try out this program, it gives you an entirely new approach to your instrument, improves your chops, and utterly broadens your horizon. Indoors given me a new appreciation for music and the percussive arts.
